Continuing with its philosophy of promoting a friendship without differences, Pilsen Callao decided to create E-NTERPRETERS: the first BOT - available within a social platform for gamers (Discord) - that translates real-time conversations in sign language between friends generated during an online game. This allows deaf people to be socially included in the world of video games.

This initiative aims to generate a positive impact on society, seeking to raise awareness for greater inclusion of deaf people in the gaming world. This proposal adds to the different actions that the brand has taken in recent years with the aim of closing gaps that affect friendship and our society.

To achieve this, the BOT, which can be hosted on the Discord platform, translates what other players say by audio during the game into sign language, through an algorithm that identifies each player's voice, separates them into channels, and integrates them into a visual response.

E-NTERPRETERS will feature three avatars that have been designed according to the most popular types of video games currently, taking as references Call of Duty, Fortnite, and Arcane from League of Legends.

As a result of the pandemic, we realized that the gaming industry had grown exponentially, becoming one of the main channels of socialization, with 11 million active users in Peru. However, there are more than 300 million deaf gamers in the world, and in Peru, thousands are excluded because they cannot hear.

E-NTERPRETERS, which is currently open source in development, is also aimed at hearing people, so that they can connect in a better way with deaf people and use the BOT with their friends or family members who are part of this community, and invite more users to get to know this communication alternative that will help reinforce friendship bonds.

The BOT will be available for any Discord user - over 18 years old - and can be downloaded for free. While the proposal is aimed at Peru, anyone from any country who speaks Spanish can use it.
