Universitario surprised the local media by presenting the new jersey that their women's team will wear for their historic debut at the Monumental Stadium against UTC in the first round of the 2022 Women's League.
The Marketing and Commercial Manager, Daniel Amador, was present at the presentation and commented that the novelty of the cream and maroon jersey is that it will have sponsors. This is great news as women's teams previously did not have the support they are currently receiving.

He also mentioned that more importance is being given to the team in terms of digital presence: "The players' presentation on social media, the increase in digital content, and now, the experience of bringing the girls to the Monumental Stadium, are part of the process we are following to make women's football much more popular," he commented.
On the other hand, the captain of the cream team, Fabiola Herrera, was also present and spoke about the team's goal this year. "The objective is to win the championship and return to the Copa Libertadores. I am sure that with the path we are following, we will achieve it," she said.
Finally, the coach, Paolo Maldonado, highlighted the support and investment they have been making for their players. "It has been a huge merit of the club to allocate a significant budget to the women's team. I have to thank that 80% of the squad stayed," he concluded.
