The video game industry does not stop, and although we come from a busy February with some of the most anticipated releases of the year so far, March also has its own plethora of anticipated titles. Babylon's Fall, the new game from PlatinumGames (Bayonetta, NieR Automata, Metal Gear Rising), was released on March 3rd, but despite the studio's enormous trajectory, very few players seem to have noticed.

Through SteamDB, which measures the peak and concurrent number of users of a video game on Valve's platform, it is reported that the new work by PlatinumGames currently only has approximately 1200 simultaneous players: a very poor figure for a release. Not to mention its release day, in which there were around 650 concurrent players.
While the number of simultaneous users just days after its release is already a bad omen about the reception of the game, what has caught the attention of Babylon's Fall is that, compared to another recent title, its figure is worrisome. In comparison, Elden Ring - released on February 25th - registered around 750,000 concurrent players on Steam during its release day.

The factors can be several, but it is a fact that the lack of excitement or distant reaction from video game enthusiasts and even fans of the same company during the publication of their trailers or new information hinted at this result. Also, since it was announced that the title is a game as a service, many people's concept of it has changed radically.
Babylon's Fall is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The video game has a free playable demo on Sony consoles.
