Although the road to WrestleMania is the most important season of the year for WWE, the weeks following The Showcase of the Immortals are also of vital importance, as historically it has been a moment when new stars debut. Now, with the rapid growth of NXT and the presence of former independent stars, the expectation is higher than ever about the possible debutants we will have after WrestleMania 32.
Currently, the main rumors point to Samoa Joe's debut in the main roster being near, and in fact it could happen on the April 4th edition of Raw, informally known as the Raw Post-WrestleMania. However, there is also an alternate plan for Joe to dethrone Finn Bálor and become the NXT Champion, which would postpone his arrival to the main shows.
Regarding Bálor, there doesn't seem to be a rush to promote him to Raw and SmackDown, as officials intend to keep him as the face of NXT even after WrestleMania.
There is discussion about bringing Sami Zayn to the main roster to continue his rivalry with Kevin Owens, which was a central focus of NXT in the early months of 2015 and has its origins in the independent circuit. However, the timing for these plans to take effect is unknown, as it was reported that Sami already has an opponent ready for NXT Takeover: Dallas, an event that will take place two days before WrestleMania.
Finally, Mike Johnson from Pro Wrestling Insider was on Taz's podcast and there he pointed out that the arrival of Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson will be directly to the main roster, which clashes with initial reports that placed them spending a season in NXT. On the other hand, it is logical to assume that after Bálor's promotion of the arrival of his former teammates from The Bullet Club, the situation of the three could be linked as part of the Bálor Club.
What do you think? Who do you think will be the first to debut in the main roster?
