No let him go. Cusco FC announced through its official Twitter account the renewal of its forward Mauricio Montes for the entire 2022 season. The former Alianza player becomes the seventh renewal of the imperial team.

"Our imperial warrior will continue wearing the colors of our imperial Cusco in the 2022 season," reads the Twitter statement.
Mauricio Montes played 1503 minutes this year and scored eleven goals in 19 games he played. The forward showcased his football in Alianza Lima, Ayacucho FC, Sport Huancayo, César Vallejo, Cienciano among others.
With Montes' renewal, seven players are staying in Cusco. The others are: Alfredo Ramúa, Matías Abisad, Edson Aubert, Miguel Carranza, Erick Gonzales, Miguel Aucca, Eder Hermoza, and Diego Minaya.
The newcomers are the Uruguayan Felipe Rodríguez, Daniel Ferreyra, Roberto Villamarín, Carlos Solís, Anthony Gordillo, Horacio Benincasa, and the Panamanian Abdiel Ayarza.
