Patrick Mahomes remains undefeated against the Broncos after the Chiefs’ 22-9 victory over their AFC West rival on "Sunday Night Football." He is 8-0 vs. Denver.

The Chiefs' two touchdowns came from players who don’t regularly see the end zone. Mahomes rushed 10 yards for the first score of the game in the first quarter; safety Daniel Sorenson intercepted a Teddy Bridgewater pass and returned it 75 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Broncos running back Javonte Williams shined Sunday night. He led the Broncos with 102 yards rushing on 23 carries and had a team-high six catches for 76 yards and the Broncos' lone touchdown.

The Broncos took up most of the second quarter with a 20-play drive that lasted 11 mintues, 9 seconds, but they ended up scoring zero points after failing to convert on a fourth down. According to Stathead, the drive is tied for the second-most plays in a drive that ended in zero points since 2000.

The Chiefs (8-4) remain atop the AFC West standings, while the Broncos (6-6) fall to last place. The teams will meet again in Week 18 in Denver.

11:14 p.m. — Bridgewater cannot convert on the Broncos' fourth down. 

11:10 p.m. — Jeudy catches a 19-yard pass for a Broncos first down on their own 40-yard line.

11:07 p.m. — The Chiefs don't have an answer to the Broncos' touchdown, and they punt the ball.

10:56 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN, BRONCOS. Williams scores the first Broncos touchdown of the game on a fourth down. The Broncos do not get the 2-point conversion. Chiefs 22, Broncos 9.

10:52 p.m. — Mike Boone brings the Broncos into Chiefs territory with a 19-yard gain. Boone follows up this play with a 16-yard gain to put the Broncos on the Chiefs' 16-yard line.

10:43 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN, CHIEFS. Daniel Sorenson intercepts the ball at the Chiefs' 27-yard line and runs it into the end zone for a 77-yard Chiefs touchdown. Butker's extra point is no good, though. Chiefs 22, Broncos 3.

10:39 p.m. — Javonte Williams gets the first down after running nine yards. The Broncos are on their own 42-yard line.

10:34 p.m. — FIELD GOAL, CHIEFS. The Chiefs can't get a first down after their fumble, but Butker makes a 26-yard field goal. Chiefs 16, Broncos 3.

10:28 p.m. — FUMBLE. Diontae Spencer attempted to catch the Chiefs punt, but the ball was hit out of his hands. Byron Pringle recovered the ball at the Broncos' 16-yard line for a Chiefs fumble. 

10:27 p.m. — The Chiefs don't get a first down on 3rd-&-16. They punt the ball back to the Broncos.

10:22 p.m. — INTERCEPTION. Juan Thornhill picks off Bridgewater at the Chiefs 36-yard line. Thornhill ran to the Chiefs' 48-yard line. Anthony Hitchens was flagged during the play for an illegal blindside block, so 15 yards will be added to the Chiefs's field position.

10:14 p.m. — FIELD GOAL, CHIEFS. Butker makes a 45-yard field goal. Chiefs 13, Broncos 3.

10:11 p.m. — Darrel Williams advanced 38 yards to put the Chiefs on the Broncos' 30-yard line. This is the longest play of the game.

10:09 p.m. — Kelce picks up a first down for the Chiefs after catching a 14-yard pass from Mahomes. They are on their own 38-yard line.

10:07 p.m. — The Broncos can't get anything done on their drive as they go three-and-out.

10:01 p.m. — INTERCEPTION. Mahomes' pass was intended for Hill, but it was picked off by Patrick Surtain II at the Broncos' 21-yard line.

9:58 p.m. — Mecole Hardman advances 12 yards for a Chiefs first down.

9:40 p.m. — The Chiefs' drive lasts less than a minute after they go three-and-out. They punt with 16 seconds remaining in the half.

9:33 p.m. — The Broncos go for the fourth down again. It's their 20th play of the 11 plus minute drive. The Chiefs finally stopped the Broncos on the Chiefs' 9-yard line.

9:25 p.m. — Tyrann Mathieu chased Bridgewater down on 3rd-&-7. The Broncos decide to go for the fourth down again, and they get it again. Sutton caught the 10-yard pass for the first down.

9:22 p.m. — The Chiefs hold the Broncos back on 3rd-&-1. But, Bridgewater and the Broncos decided to go for the fourth down. Bridgewater rushed in for the first down.

9:16 p.m. — The Chiefs don't make it to mid-field, so the Broncos get the ball back.

9:13 p.m. — The Broncos challenged if a drop made by Travis Kelce and then picked up by Justin Simmons should be a fumble and recovery. After review, it was ruled an incomplete pass.

9:04 p.m. — FIELD GOAL, BRONCOS. Brandon McManus puts the Broncos on the board after making a 42-yard field goal attempt. Chiefs 10, Broncos 3.

9:02 p.m. — Courtland Sutton was flagged for offensive pass interference, which added 10 yards to the Broncos' first down attempt. On the next play, Bridgewater was flagged for intentional grounding, adding another 10 yards. The Broncos are now on 2nd-&-30.

8:57 p.m. — Bridgewater escapes a sack and runs nine yards for the first down.

8:53 p.m. — Jerry Jeudy catches a pass from Bridgewater for a 36-yard gain and the Broncos' first first down of the game. They are on the Chiefs' 39-yard line.

8:49 p.m. — FIELD GOAL, CHIEFS. Harrison Butker makes a 56-yard field goal to increase the Chiefs' lead. It was Butker's fifth 50 plus yard field goal of the season, which sets the new franchise record for most 50 plus yard field goals in a single season.  Chiefs 10, Broncos 0.

8:45 p.m. — Edwards-Helaire advanced 29 yards thanks to the Chiefs defense paving a path for him. The Chiefs are on the Broncos' 46-yard line.

8:41 p.m. — The Broncos go three-and-out again. 

8:34 p.m. — TOUCHDOWN, CHIEFS. Patrick Mahomes rushes 10 yards to the goal line to put the Chiefs on the board. Chiefs 7, Broncos 0.

8:32 p.m. — Tyreek Hill gets the Chiefs' fourth first down of the drive by advancing 13 yards. They are now on the Broncos' 24-yard line.

8:26 p.m. — Clyde Edwards-Helaire runs for a first down, the first one of the game. The Chiefs are on their own 38-yard line.

8:25 p.m. — Melvin Ingram and Willie Gay sack Teddy Bridgewater to force the Broncos to go three-and-out on their first drive.

8:22 p.m. — The game kicks off with the Broncos receiving the ball first. NBC is reporting that the winds are at 19 mph and only supposed to increase throughout the night.
