Selection of Panama Starts Microcycles at Rommel Fernández
Under the guidance of David Dóniga and Javier Sánchez Jara, the selection of Panama started microcycles at Rommel Fernández as part of the preparation for the players and their approach to the work of the national team. Legionnaires such as Newton Williams were present during the training session.
Professor David Dóniga talked about the mentality of the coaching staff and what they aim to achieve with the microcycles.
"We're doing the same thing as in the previous microcycles. The idea is for players who haven't had contact with the national team to get into the work dynamics that we have with the senior team, and for the U-23 players to be ready to make the jump, to be prepared with specific training similar to what Thomas Christiansen does with the senior team."
"On this day, we also include the topic of the national team players who are here in Panama, which allows us to have them trained at a high pace since the January qualifiers are around the corner."
"One of the reasons we do this is because our priority is to have the senior team prepared for the January commitments," said David Dóniga.
It is worth noting that a large number of the players called up for the microcycle are from the local scene, with the exception of those involved in the LPF tournament semifinals.
