Tigres comes back to life in the key match against Santos Laguna for the quarterfinals of the Liga MX playoffs: André-Pierre Gignac appeared to score a goal and decrease the score.

Tigres' performance in the match against Santos Laguna was not very positive, but the team has managed to react in the second half and reduce the deficit in the tie. Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac appeared with an impressive long-range shot to score a goal, which creates a tense finish to the match.

The goal came around the 73rd minute, at an unexpected moment, as the 'Guerreros' were well organized in defense when their opponent threatened on the counterattack. However, a partial clearance by the central defense favored Gignac, who never doubted his ability to strike the ball well.

The magnificent volley executed by the forward hit the back of the net in the Estadio Corona de Torreón, and the stretch from goalkeeper Carlos Acevedo only made the scene more spectacular. Santos Laguna fans watched in disbelief at what had happened.

On the other hand, Tigres' fans celebrated André-Pierre Gignac's goal effusively, although the forward remained serious and only gave a defiant look to anyone who crossed his path. On the substitute bench, coach Miguel Herrera exploded with joy.

Remember that the 'Felinos' secured their spot in the quarterfinals directly, after finishing fourth in the regular table of the Liga MX. Meanwhile, Santos Laguna finished fifth and played a playoff against Atlético San Luis, a rival they defeated 2-0 without major difficulties.
