Call of Duty, Overwatch, and HearthStone users experienced connection issues early this morning due to a Denial of Service (DDoS) attack that affected Blizzard's Battle.net platform.

Blizzard has confirmed a DDoS attack against the authentication servers of its Battle.net platform, preventing players from connecting or causing latency and logouts.

Battle.net is Blizzard Entertainment's platform that allows players to communicate with each other, access their PC games, and purchase new titles or digital items.

The attack took place early Thursday morning, mainly affecting America. It prevented access to online games such as Call of Duty, Overwatch, HearthStone, Diablo, or World of Warcraft, as reported on the DownDetector website.
