The América Eagles were defeated 4-1 by Pachuca and still have not won playing at home. The Coapa team has only achieved one victory (Jaguares) in their last seven home games, in addition to two draws and four losses.
Pachuca dominated the game in the first minutes and it was in the 18th minute when the home side scored in a very accidented play in which a header from Murillo ended up being pushed into his own goal by Pablo Aguilar.
Pachuca continued to dominate possession and in the 25th minute, a goal from Urretaviscaya was disallowed for offside. Three minutes later, Gonzalo Jara scored the second goal for the visitors.
América responded in the second half and it was until the 71st minute that they managed to shorten the distance in the score thanks to a powerful shot from Rubens Sambueza that left Óscar Pérez with no chance.
In the 86th minute, Pachuca scored the third goal in a great counterattack orchestrated by Rubén Botta and finished by Hirving Lozano.
Pachuca completely buried América's hopes in a play that started with a throw-in; young Víctor Guzmán took the ball and unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area to beat Moisés Muñoz.
Pachuca still has not been defeated in the tournament and has 7 points, with two wins and one draw, while América remains with four points after the heavy defeat.
Oscar Pérez, who will turn 43 on February 1st, became the oldest player to play at Estadio Azteca.
