Argentina couldn't have the party they expected against Brazil and ended up securing a goalless draw. The Albiceleste tried and tackled hard, but couldn't break through the wall of the Pentacampeón, who made them suffer with their attacks in the South American Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup.

The match promised to be a war after what happened in the Copa America and the suspended match last September. And that was reflected on the field throughout the 90 minutes, where they gave it their all.

However, to the surprise of many, referee Andrés Cunha showed far fewer cards than he could have. Throughout the game, both Argentine and Brazilian players distributed fouls left and right, but got away with it.

However, thinking about the next qualifying match, where they will have to face the Chilean national team, they will have an absence. Germán Pezzella was the only player who was on the verge of suspension and received a yellow card, so he will not be able to play against La Roja.

Germán Pezzella will miss the match against Chile

The Real Betis defender and teammate of Claudio Bravo received a yellow card just seconds after entering the field, ruling him out for the next match against our country in January.

In the 53rd minute, the center-back entered the field replacing Cristian Romero, but received the card in just a couple of minutes. It all happened in the 59th minute when he fouled Vinicius Júnior and ended up being punished by the referee.

With this, he will be the only absence from the long list of players who were on the verge of suspension, and Argentina will come almost with a complete squad to face Chile, a match where La Roja will have to fight for their lives to get closer to Qatar 2022.
