Juan Dinenno chose soccer as his girlfriend while developing in a standout group in the youth ranks of Racing Club, led by Rodrigo de Paul, from Atletico Madrid. The current top scorer of Pumas is a "soccer bible." He preferred to watch games instead of pursuing a relationship, as his teammates did, who often made fun of that aspect of the striker born in Rosario, Lionel Messi's homeland, and compared to Gabriel Batistuta.

"He didn't like being teased, as we say, but if you ask him who is the right back of America? He knows, who is the right back of a third division team? He will know too. He knows all the players in the world, he is a soccer bible, he knows everything. Everyone used to ask him that he didn't have a girlfriend, that he did nothing but watch soccer, and it was a weak point that always attacked him, but look where he is now. He applied all that knowledge for his own benefit," recalls Antonio Mur, who recruited him at Racing Club and later coached him for a year in the club's youth system.

"He was harassed with that since he was so informed and the rest lived their age, listening to their music and other things; and talking about soccer all day, he was so obsessed with soccer that they ended up bothering him."

Dinenno arrived for trials with Racing Club as a player from Provincial, an amateur club in the Rosarina League, where Antonio Mur recruited him, largely because of his physical strength and power.

"It was a very good category because from that category is Rodrigo de Paul, who is at Atletico Madrid, and Juan Musso, who is Atalanta's goalkeeper. It was a very good group, and Juan was the starting '9,' a soccer lover. Maybe technically at that time he wasn't the best because now I've seen that he has learned a lot and has learned to play. At that time, he did everything based on his physical strength, his optimism for goal, and his conviction because he is a soccer lover, and that's why we decided to keep him. Every year he grew, a constant growth, and then he made his debut in the first team."

Mur, who had experience in Mexican soccer with Inter de Tijuana in 1995 and León in 2001, compares Dinenno to Gabriel Batistuta, a historical player for the Argentina national team.

"The characteristics are similar to Batistuta in terms of how he plays. It's a similar game to Batistuta, considering the physical aspect, and so on."

The Dinenno who came for trials to stay in the youth system of Racing Club has evolved. Mur is surprised by Juan's development, who can now leave the box and assist his teammates.

"He has grown, he has learned to play, which is the most difficult thing for players. Not everyone knows how to play. Those who are in the elite know how to play. Soccer is a lot of things, but not only do you have to like it and have the abilities, you also have to learn to play it, be intelligent. When to make a move, when not to. When to make two touches, when to make one touch. Everything can be learned. There are players who retire without being able to use their weaker foot, and other players are virtuosos with both feet, and the elite marks that learning," Mur concluded.
