Hugo Del Castillo won a bronze medal in Taekwondo at Lima 2019
With the participation of more than 80 competitors in his category from different nationalities, including the finalists: United States, Korea, and Peru. Hugo Del Castillo, representing Peru, won the bronze medal in the III WT Open Challenge 2021 of Taekwondo.
A very exciting competition with a high level, many of them national selections competed in their category. Peruvian Del Castillo scored 7.44, tying with Korean competitor Lee, but due to presentation criteria, the Asian took second place (silver medal).
This is a great achievement for Peru as this World Open medal opens the doors to participation in the IV WT Challenge where the top 8 in the world will participate.
