Brazil vs Argentina: Conmebol commented on the resolution of the 'South America's Classic'.

The president of Conmebol, Alejandro Domínguez, gave details of the resolution of the suspended match between Brazil and Argentina in September.

The president of Conmebol, Alejandro Domínguez, gave details of the resolution of the suspended match between Brazil and Argentina in September.

Brazil and Argentina sounded the alarms of football in the month of September when they faced each other in Sao Paulo and the match had to be suspended after six minutes of play, following the entry of people unrelated to the 'Clásico de Sudamérica' who tried to deport four 'ches' players who arrived from England. Scandal that questioned the Qatar 2022 qualifiers and even talked about drastic measures that FIFA would take.

It turns out that a month after such an event, the president of CONMEBOL Alejandro Domínguez referred to the matter in an interview on a Paraguayan radio station.

The head of South American football clarified that this whole issue is the responsibility of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee: "The Qualifiers is a FIFA organization, not Conmebol. FIFA's Disciplinary Committee will make a decision (about the Brazil-Argentina match), we believe that matches should be decided on the field."

Alejandro Domínguez added his opinion on the issue of refereeing in CONMEBOL, which caused a great controversy: "For me, any football leader who justifies the sporting result in the actions of the refereeing is an amateur leader."

He concluded by stating that in CONMEBOL, like anywhere else in the world, refereeing is not always perfect: "The refereeing is not all terrible. Refereeing is not perfect. No profession that we practice is done to perfection. There is bad work by referees, just as there is bad work by coaches, just as there is bad work by players who sometimes we least expect."

Remember that Brazil and Argentina are the only South American teams that have not lost any matches in the current qualifiers. However, a resolution from FIFA could result in one of them being given a loss on paper.

Brazil and Argentina: When will 'Albiceleste' and 'Canrinha' play?

Argentina will host Peru on Thursday, October 14 for the Qatar 2022 qualifiers, a match that will be held at the Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires. Meanwhile, Brazil, the leader of the qualifying process, will face Uruguay, who actually just suffered a heavy defeat against the 'Albiceleste'.
