A payment of S/ 1000 will be sent to a group of contributors to the National Housing Fund (Fonavi), informed Jorge Milla, member of the Ad Hoc Commission of the current Parliament. This decision is supported by the approval given by the previous Congress regarding the partial refund of contributions to the system, despite being questioned on several occasions by former President Francisco Sagasti.
Fonavi members, widows, or heirs of retirees will be able to collect the advance payment of 1000 soles on account of pending refunds, according to Milla's statement.
"Although direct former members are no longer with us due to the virus or other reasons, widows and heirs will have access to the payment of this debt, including the advance of one thousand soles as an incentive for the refund. Likewise, it is important to announce that they will also be included in the list of beneficiaries to receive what the contributors gave during their lifetime," he stated in an interview with Exitosa.
The Fonavi affiliates may receive part of their refund.
