Cruz Azul no longer wanted to hire a singer to sing the Mexican national anthem

"SEGOB will take the corresponding actions to determine the responsibility of the people involved in the sports event in which singer Pablo Montero altered the lyrics of the National Anthem," the Ministry of the Interior reported on its social media.
This action caused the plans for the second leg to also have to be changed, since Cruz Azul had also considered hiring a singer to sing the Mexican National Anthem, but it was decided to decline that action to avoid a similar incident.
The authorities organizing the ceremony also did not allow two planes to fly over the Azteca Stadium during the pre-match stage because it did not align with the protocols that had been considered.

In the Cruz Azul vs Santos final, only singer Alex Lora appeared, who sang some of his songs during halftime at the Azteca, but there was no celebrity in charge of singing the Mexican National Anthem before the game against the Torreon team.
