Juventus announces departure of Andrea Pirlo
Juventus made official on Friday the departure of Andrea Pirlo at the end of his first season as coach, marked by two titles (Italian Cup and Supercup), but with disappointments in Serie A and the Champions League.
"Thank you, Andrea. These are the first words we have to say at the end of this particular experience lived together," said the club in a statement. The new coach of the Bianconeri is Massimiliano Allegri.
Two titles - Italian Supercup and Coppa - and a ticket for the Champions League sealed last Sunday on the final day, is a baggage that seems insufficient for a Juventus that had conquered the nine previous league titles.
One day after Andrea Pirlo's dismissal, Cristiano Ronaldo shared a farewell message through his social media: "Thank you, master. It has been an honor to be coached by you."
