The Argentine goalkeeper, Agustín Marchesín, showed his love for the colors of Santos Laguna and wished luck to the Torreón team that will face Cruz Azul in the final of Guard1anes 2021.
Through his Instagram account, the Porto goalkeeper sent a message to the Laguna team, the team that brought him from Argentina in 2015 and with which he won a Liga MX title, becoming a star.
The goalkeeper posted a message that says: "Success. Go for it, Santos. The beautiful Lagunera region deserves it all."
The romance between the team and the goalkeeper lasted only two years, as the management decided to sell him to América, a transfer that generated controversy among Santos' fans and Marchesín himself, who had publicly stated that he would not wear América's colors.
Marchesín keeps a fond memory of his time with the green and white team, as he won his first league title in Mexico in just five months and also won the Campeón de Campeones against América.
While the América fans took time to forgive him for the snub he made before his arrival, in Torreón the supporters also did not forget the 'betrayal', as on his return to the TSM in March 2017, the attendees at the stadium started throwing fake bills at him as a protest.
Currently, Agustín plays for Porto, the club he joined in 2019, and with which he won the award for the best goalkeeper in Portugal in the 2019-2020 season, and he has the titles of the league, cup, and supercup of Portugal. Furthermore, he is a key player in the club, as he stood out in the current edition of the UEFA Champions League.
Agustín Marchesín knows what it's like to defeat La Máquina (Cruz Azul) in a final, as he became champion with América precisely by beating the blue team at the Estadio Azteca.
