If Zinedine Zidane doesn't continue with Real Madrid, Santiago Solari is the candidate proposed by Josep Pedrerol to be the substitute for the Frenchman
Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol proposed the name of Club America coach Santiago Solari to take over the Real Madrid bench if Zinedine Zidane does not continue as the head coach of the team for the next season.
In an edition of 'Chiringuito Inside' prior to the Granada vs. Real Madrid match, Pedrerol, host of the popular Iberian program, highlighted Solari's work with Club America and indicated that he would be a good alternative if Zidane decides to leave the Madrid institution.
"Solari is doing very well at America and he is the one who understood what was happening at Madrid with Isco, with Bale. I like Solari, I would like him because of his experience and he showed at Madrid that he knows what he's doing," expressed the journalist.

Solari coached 32 matches for Real Madrid between 2018 and 2019, winning 22 matches, drawing two, and losing eight matches. However, the painful elimination of the 'Casa Blanca' against Ajax in the Champions League led to his departure from the club.
With Club America, Santiago won 12 out of 17 matches in the Regular Phase and lost only three matches. However, in the Quarterfinals of the Guard1anes tournament, America lost the first leg against Pachuca 3-1 and they are obligated to come back if they want to qualify for the semifinals.
