The second stage of the tournament to find the two finalists who will compete for the Jr. New Values Cup in its seventh edition has given a pharaonic result: Esfinge!.
In the fight that took place this popular Tuesday at Arena Mexico, six heirs with a lot of desire to succeed faced each other: Esfinge, Soberano, Super Halcon, The Panther, Espanto, Sansón, Tiger and Canelo Casas. The fight was dizzying as each of these gladiators put their best effort to win. The elimination order was as follows: Soberano, Espanto Jr., Canelo Casas, Super Halcon Jr., Sansón, and The Panther. In this way, Tiger and Esfinge faced each other to decide who would be the one to leave with shattered dreams. Tiger was the loser despite the almost definitive attempts he made to dominate the Egyptian, Esfinge took the victory in an impressive display of technique and cunning, as he applied his Egyptian Knot (his emblematic lock) to raise his hand in victory.
This wrestler from Guadalajara and current western tag team champion — along with El Gallo — is the gladiator who will face a high-profile challenge as he will test his strength against a hungry Puma.
It is worth mentioning that both gladiators belong to the third generation of wrestling blood in their family. Esfinge is the grandson of Halcón Furia and the son of Magnum, he is a wrestler with good stature and one of the best young talents in the company. As for Puma, we already know his lineage. With an aerial style and the demeanor of a "high-price wrestler" (as said by Tirantes), Esfinge had a remarkable participation in In Search of an Idol 2015, which positioned him as a young promise. In addition, last year he also had another important victory, he won the mask of Espectrum. However, he still has to prove if he has the resources to defeat Puma and take that title home.
