How have you felt in your first days at Sporting Cristal?

Good. The club has great players, of high level and hierarchy. We hope that those who are already here will guide us and each one will contribute, from their place, to win the championship at the end of the year.

What is your goal in this Copa Libertadores?

In 2013, I reached the quarterfinals with Garcilaso and it was very nice. Now, with Sporting Cristal, I hope to surpass that barrier. It would be great for a Peruvian team to reach the semifinals of the Cup.

Is Sporting Cristal one step ahead of the others in terms of reinforcements?

The Peruvian league, every year, becomes more interesting and competitive. Not only Sporting Cristal has reinforced. Those of us who have joined the team know the local environment and that is important.

They say that there are players who only perform well at high altitudes. How do you think it is in your case?

I spent three years in Cusco, but I came from Argentina and I always performed well at sea level. It's circumstances, I arrived in Cusco and adapted. Now it's the same.

Has Sporting Cristal proposed you to become a naturalized citizen?

Not yet, but that is my idea. I arrived at a great institution and I do hope to become a naturalized citizen. If they ask me, I would gladly do it to not take up a foreign quota. And later on, if everything goes well, have the opportunity to play for the Peruvian National Team. All for the sake of contributing.
