Joffre Guerrón arrived at Cruz Azul with delays, but that did not prevent the premature praise from Tomás Boy. Before the start of the Liga MX tournament.
During the press conference, 'El Jefe' indicated that if the former Tigres forward did not get any playing time under Ricardo Ferreti, he will have a completely different story at La Máquina.
Joffre David Guerrón Méndez scored 13 times in the three Liga MX tournaments he played with Tigres, enough data to convince Boy that he should be the starting forward for Cruz Azul in the Clausura 2016.
"We thought Guerrón could arrive a week earlier, but he comes from being active until the end, although he played little but he will play a lot with me".
And just as he considers the Ecuadorian to be a key to lead Cruz Azul to the coveted title that has not been won for 18 years, Aldo Leao and Jesús Corona are also important, with the latter having great chances of starting from Week 1.
"When I like to bring reinforcements, it's because they are going to play even though they have to achieve a suitable physical condition. This is the case with Leao and Guerrón. They are solutions; Corona is a fantastic goalkeeper, who may start".
Cruz Azul will face Morelia in Week 1, a team that Tomás Boy also coached in the past.
