One of the most anticipated days for Emelec's fans has arrived

However, Emelec's coach Ismael Rescalvo stated in previous days that they are looking to complete the squad with the addition of one more forward. He also confirmed that Juan Luis Anangonó and Bryan Angulo are the options being considered by the management.

"It has taken us twice as long as it normally took us to organize the event in previous years, logically due to the context of the pandemic," said Ivonne Tufiño, Emelec's marketing manager, in an interview with DirecTV.

This will be the first match of the season for the "azules", who ended 2020 with a 4-1 victory over Olmedo.
