One day after saying goodbye to the Alianza Lima fans, Peruvian-Argentine defender Carlos 'Che' Beltrán was announced as the new player for Ayacucho FC and will play in the Copa Libertadores 2021.
"We announce the arrival of central defender Carlos Beltrán, a 30-year-old player, 1.89 m tall. He joins Ayacucho FC to have a great campaign in the central defense of the 'zorros' team," the club tweeted.
This will be Carlos Beltrán's sixth Peruvian club after previously playing for Alianza Lima, Melgar, Cienciano, Real Garcilaso (now Cusco FC), and Sport Rosario.
Although he had a valid contract with the club from La Victoria, he reached an agreement with the board to terminate it after Alianza Lima was relegated to Liga 2.
