Deportivo Llacuabamba Players Denounce Unpaid Salaries
Players from Deportivo Llacuabamba, a team that was relegated to the Liga 2, have reported that the club owes them their November salary and the settlements stipulated in their contracts (bonus, CTS, and vacation pay).
"We have sent messages to the club's president and his lawyer, but there has been no response. The president told me that on December 15th, the Federation would deposit money and they could pay us, but they haven't said anything," said a player to Depor newspaper without giving his name.
"The president is running for Congress, but that should not be his priority if he has debts with his employees. In May and June, we agreed to cut our salaries in half to support the community, but now there is nothing," he added.
Deportivo Llacuabamba, along with Alianza Lima and Atlético Grau, were relegated to the second division tournament.
