After Pumas' team failed to extend the player's loan, as they did not reach an agreement with Guadalajara to keep the defender in their squad, sources close to ESPN confirmed that the 'Sacred Herd' youth academy product will be back for the next season.

On the part of Pumas' management, they tried to extend the loan of the player by offering one of the university squad members in order to retain the left-back with the capital team. However, after not reaching an agreement, both parties determined that the defender would return to Chivas.

With Alejandro Mayorga's return, Chivas adds its second addition, along with César Huerta, for the next season, having only two returns in their ranks, after not signing any players so far in the winter transfer market.

After two tournaments with 23 games played, Alejandro Mayorga became one of the most important elements of Pumas in the defensive line, which is why the university management prioritized keeping the left-back in their ranks for at least one more year.

In light of this, sources close to ESPN Digital revealed that the player is not entirely convinced to return to the red-and-white institution, as he will have to compete for a place in the starting eleven alongside Miguel Ponce and Cristian Calderón in the next tournament.

Nevertheless, the performance shown by the left-back during his time with the university team was well received by Guadalajara's management, with the aim of having an additional element in the defensive line, in case Víctor Manuel Vucetich decides to keep Cristian Calderón in the left winger position.
