The forward Serge Gnabry of Bayern Munich has left quarantine after a "false positive" of covid-19 that caused him to miss the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid and the Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
According to Bayern, Gnabry tested positive on Tuesday, one day before the match against Atletico, and then underwent several tests between Wednesday and Saturday, all of which were negative.
In addition, antibody tests were conducted on Saturday and Sunday, which also came back negative.
As a result, the Munich Health Office has concluded that the initial test was a "false positive" and has released Gnabry from quarantine.
Therefore, Gnabry is available again for coach Hansi Flick and will travel with Bayern for tomorrow's Champions League match against Lokomotiv Moscow. EFE
