CD Castellón signs Serbian player Zlatanovic on loan from RCD Mallorca
The CD Castellón has officially announced the signing of Serbian forward Igor Zlatanovic, who arrives on loan from RCD Mallorca for this season. The 22-year-old striker is on his second consecutive loan in LaLiga SmartBank, after having been at CD Numancia last year.
Zlatanovic, who has represented Serbia in all the lower national teams, was signed in July 2019 by Mallorca until 2023, coming from Radnik Surdulica. The striker was trained in the youth academy of Partizan Belgrade.
As highlighted by Castellón, Zlatanovic's goal-scoring record dates back to when he was 20 years old at Radnik Surdulica, the team he played for during four seasons. He scored 13 goals in the 17-18 campaign and also in the 18-19 season in the Serbian First Division. The forward was chosen as the best promising player in his country's league.
Igor Zlatanovic is the tenth reinforcement of the blanquinegro team in their return to the Second Division.
