Two former Manchester United legends, Rio Ferdinand and Gary Neville, have voiced their opinions on the Sergio Ramos to Old Trafford rumours on the social networks. Both expressed the utmost respect for the World Cup-winning Real Madrid defender but also their scepticism over the transfer and the benefits it would have on the Red Devils.
Ferdinand wrote: "If the stories are correct and Manchester United sign Ramos and Schweinsteiger they would be good signings, but are they using United to get better offers from their current clubs?"
Neville, as is his style, did not mince his words: "People are saying that United could pay 40 million pounds plus David de Gea for Ramos. Please no! Nothing against Ramos but it can't be true."
