Captain Aubameyang Extends Contract with Arsenal
Arsenal's captain, 31 years old, has played 111 games and scored 72 goals since he arrived in London in 2018 from Borussia Dortmund.
"I have never had doubts about signing for this special club. It is thanks to our fans, my teammates, my family, and everyone at this club that I feel like I belong here," said Aubameyang, Gabon's international player.
Last season, he scored 29 goals in 44 matches across competitions, and this season started well by winning the Community Shields trophy on penalties against Liverpool.
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta stated that Aubameyang is a "superb player with an incredible mindset."
"He is the player who has taken the least time to reach 50 goals with this club, that says everything that needs to be known about his work ethic," added Arteta.
