Thiago Alcántara was surprised by the news that pointed to his departure from Bayern Munich to join Liverpool and affirmed that he has not said at any time that he is going to leave the German club but at the moment he is only focused on the match of the Spanish national team against Ukraine in the Nations League.

"I have not said at any time or in any media that I am leaving, every year the press puts me in a different club. I am on the sidelines, my future is tomorrow's match and there is nothing else, I don't care about this right now, I'm not interested," he said in a press conference at La Ciudad del Fútbol.

Thiago assessed an unforgettable season with Bayern, crowned with the conquest of the Champions League, and a good personal year but with the mentality of continuing to progress.

"It has been a wonderful season with the club, we have achieved all possible titles with a high level of football. There is always room for individual improvement. I try to learn from everyone but especially midfielders, to continue evolving we have to look at Sergio Busquets playing," he said.

"I always think that the current moment is the best, I am in a great physical shape because I arrive more prepared than my teammates due to the competition in Lisbon and I believe that next year I will be better than this," he added.
