Interview with Fútbol a lo Grande on Radio Monumental 1080 AM
The defender of America from Mexico recounted what happened in the play where the Monterrey striker, Vincent Jansen, jumped and all his weight landed on the knee of the Paraguayan player.
"When he fell on top of me, I stretched my whole leg and that's when I felt a popping sensation, similar to when you crack your fingers, that's how I felt, it was the collateral (ligament). In this knee, I had already partially torn the anterior ligament. That's when I knew my knee couldn't be saved," Bruno recounted. He then went to the hospital where the partial rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and partial injury of the medial collateral ligament were confirmed, keeping him out of playing football for 6 to 8 months.
The process. Bruno began the long process of recovery: "Working to return as soon as possible, trying to see the positive side, enjoying more time with my family and at the same time, recovering day by day by doing the exercises," he commented, optimistically.
Valdez expressed his gratitude for all the support he has received: "I am always thankful and I know I will come back stronger than ever." He then described: "I have exercises for knee depuffing, stretching exercises, push-ups, followed by ice to expedite the process."
