The ESL One Cologne 2020 is a Counter Strike tournament that has always been characterized by bringing together the best teams in this e-sport. Although we will always see highly interesting match-ups in all stages, this also means that some of the favorite teams of the tournament will be eliminated very early, and that's what happened today.

It turns out that today we would know two new eliminated teams from the tournament. The first one would belong to Group A and would be the loser of the match between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Natus Vincere. Although both are good teams, Natus Vincere came as the favorite of many. Unfortunately, what we saw in the series against the Swedish team was very different from what the Ukrainian team is used to.
The guys from NiP were far superior in the two maps that were played. So much so that, in the first map, the score ended 9-16 and in the second 3-16, marking one of the most painful defeats of the year for Natus Vincere.
The other series corresponded to Group B and it was the match between Fnatic and Heroic. Although Fnatic is a great team, their performance in the tournament had left much to be desired. That's why it wasn't surprising to see them in this stage of the tournament, although few expected the Danish team to defeat them with a score of 16-11 in the two maps that were played.
The curious thing about all this is that it seems that the black beast of the Fnatic team are the teams based in Denmark because, in the first round of the Upper Bracket, they lost to Astralis who sent them to the Lower Bracket, and now they are eliminated by a team from the same country.
