Ismael Rescalvo, coach of Emelec, asserted that he left "upset" after Emelec's loss in the Clásico del Astillero against Barcelona SC played at the Monumental stadium. The Spanish coach reflects that he could have won the game and that "details" gave the victory to Barcelona.
The blues took the lead in the 65th minute but the canaries came back and left the blues in twelfth place.
"In the first half we were analyzing the two rivals and despite lacking aggressiveness we felt good because the opponent barely posed a threat, we had it under control," said the Spanish coach in the press conference after the Clásico del Astillero.
"In the second half we took a step forward and felt that we could win the game. From the first goal we saw a controlled game, the opponent didn't have the ability to surprise us but details from individual mistakes that don't allow you to add points when you play a good game," Rescalvo added.
Finally, the coach said he left "upset" because "the opponent, with two details that are our mistakes, got back into the game and gave them the chance to win."
Emelec will host Liga de Portoviejo in the eighth round of the LigaPro on Wednesday at the Capwell stadium. (D)
