Tigres are going through the most complicated moment since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, with 4 positive cases in their squad in the last two weeks - Diego Reyes, Nahuel Guzmán, Miguel Ortega, and the U-20 goalkeeper Alan Flores. However, this situation doesn't seem to worry all of their players.
In a video that began circulating on social media on Wednesday night, Eduardo Vargas was captured in a bar-restaurant in the San Agustin area, where he can be seen socializing with two male companions without taking precautionary measures to avoid contagion.
In the recording, which was published on Twitter by the user @robertolongoria 'El Rob de Polanco', some criticisms of the Chilean striker can be heard... "That's why they get Covid, they spend their time in restaurants, they spend their time at parties, earning millions of pesos per month and you can't bite your tongue... and stay locked up, because then you infect the rest of the team."
This has generated controversy with over a hundred comments, mostly reproaching the lack of care from the Tigres player, and many others defending him.
Just on August 2, Diego Reyes appeared in images from the birthday party of Monterrey goalkeeper Hugo González, with whom he shares a good friendship since their time at América. He was heavily criticized for not wearing a mask and not respecting social distancing, to which both players downplayed the importance in a couple of messages on their social media. One week later, both tested positive after undergoing the COVID-19 test.
