Chile eliminates the defending champion of the Copa America

It's done. The day has come. June 24, 2015 will be marked as the day Chile eliminated the current Copa America champion, or once again couldn't handle the weight of history.

Before, long before 8:30 PM, the time the match against Uruguay starts, La Roja will begin their anxious route to the Estadio Nacional.

Lunch is scheduled for 1:30 PM, which on a match day usually consists of pasta, although the diet can vary as long as it is something light and easily digestible.

After that meal, the most terrible hours for the players will come as they are practically obliged to rest. For many, it will be difficult to fall asleep, especially considering the stage they are playing. Some will imagine the match against Uruguay over and over again, and the luckiest ones will be able to take a nap.

At 6:15 PM, the entire coaching staff will gather the whole team and give the final talk before heading to the Ñuñoa colossus. It is in this instance where the coach will confirm to his players the starting lineup. This is how he has done it in the other three matches of this Copa America.

In coordination with the police, the departure of the team bus from Juan Pinto Duran to the stadium is scheduled for 6:45 PM, in a journey that takes no more than 15 minutes. The route will start on the former Las Torres Avenue, continue on Macul Avenue, and then proceed west on Escuela Agricola.

That way, it will arrive at Marathon Avenue and at around 7:00 PM, the vehicle will enter the Ñuñoa colossus and La Roja will be just 90 minutes away from meeting history and trying to bring down a South American giant in their search for the coveted semifinals.
