Official: Cruyff replaces Donadoni as coach of the Chinese Shenzhen FC
Jordi Cruyff will train the Shenzhen FC of the Chinese Super League, as announced by the Asian club this Friday in a statement. The former Barcelona player, 46 years old and son of Johan Cruyff, replaces Italian Roberto Donadoni, dismissed last Tuesday after the team lost the first three matches of the season, which began at the end of July.
The Shenzhen FC indicated that Jordi Cruyff has "great experience" in the world of football and is familiar with the Chinese Super League. "We believe he will help us progress to a new level."
Jordi Cruyff's last adventure on the benches was as coach of Ecuador. However, after taking office in January 2020, he resigned after 187 days in the position.

In this way, Cruyff returns to China where he coached Chongqing Dangdai Lifan until last December. There, he completed two successful seasons since his arrival in August 2018, far exceeding the goal of salvation with a fairly modest squad.
