Godoy Cruz confirmed on Sunday that 19-year-old forward Valentín Burgoa tested positive for covid-19.
Through a statement, the club from Mendoza confirmed that the player is asymptomatic and isolated, complying with the directives of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, it was reported that the epidemiological link is related to an outbreak that occurred in a hypermarket in the town of Dorrego.
Burgoa is the second confirmed case of coronavirus among first division players, following Gabriel Florentín from Argentinos Juniors.
