German Football League Announces New Measures for Fan Attendance

In addition, according to the plans revealed today, the contingent of tickets for away fans, which accounts for 10% of the total, would be eliminated for an undetermined period of time in order to reduce spectator travel as part of the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

The plan will be voted on next Tuesday at a meeting of the 36 clubs.

Another aspect of the plan is the registration of all attendees to the stadium in order to track any infection cases.

These regulations go partly against what fan organizations are requesting, as they want a prompt return to normality, including tickets for away teams and standing sections.

The Bundesliga is set to resume on September 18th, while some restrictions imposed in Germany to fight against the coronavirus will remain in place until at least October 31st, with the possibility of an extension.
