Baraja announces his departure from CD Tenerife and aspires to new challenges that motivate him
The coach Rubén Baraja has announced that he will not continue in the CD Tenerife bench next season, after achieving the objective with which he arrived on the island, because he wants to seek a "new challenge" that allows him to maintain his motivation.
The coach made the announcement of his departure after the last match of the season for the "blanquiazules", this Monday in Soria against CD Numancia, after having announced that he was going to take a few days to make a decision.
"It has been a difficult decision, I have thought it through carefully. I believe we have made a decision looking for new goals," he explained. Rubén Baraja emphasized that he is "very grateful to the club, which has been strong in situations" where they had to make "difficult decisions".

The coach has thanked "the trust" of the two sports directors he has worked with, Víctor Moreno and Juan Carlos Cordero.
"There are many things that I liked to continue. There are others that weighed heavily in the decision making. We try to find a new challenge, and it is not leaving one thing to take another. I do it with the utmost honesty."
Rubén Baraja arrived on the island to replace Aritz López Garai and achieved the objective of salvation, after achieving the best numbers in the category in the second half of the season.
