MMA: Velasquez vs Werdum Rematch Confirmed for UFC 196

The beginning of 2016 for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) will be marked by the most anticipated rematch in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum will once again compete for the heavyweight title. The date was confirmed by Dana White.

The showdown, according to the UFC president, will take place at UFC 196. Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum won't have to wait long, as the fight will happen on February 6th in Las Vegas. They will have to push themselves in their preparation.

Let's remember that Fabricio Werdum became the heavyweight champion in June of 2015 after defeating Cain Velasquez with a submission hold in the third round of UFC 188. The Brazilian will seek to retain his title in the event scheduled for February.

Junior Dos Santos declared a few days ago that the Cain Velasquez that Fabricio Werdum faced in UFC 188 was not the same one that he had to face some time ago. Now, without injury problems, Cain will have to prove that he has returned to his best physical form.
