At a point during the day, a concern arose at Olimpia due to the positive cases at San Lorenzo, since both teams played a friendly match last Wednesday. However, Gerardo Brunstein sent a message of tranquility.

The Chief Medical Officer of the Paraguayan Football Association, Gerardo Brunstein, talked this Friday on the Extra de Fútbol a lo Grande show and sent some reassurance to the Olimpia people. After the positive cases in San Lorenzo, speculation arose that the Olimpia team would be under observation, since both teams played friendly matches last Wednesday.

Brunstein clarified that, for the moment, the positive cases in San Lorenzo do not belong to athletes, but that the routine includes a re-test for the San Lorenzo players and only if a new positive case is detected among the players, samples will be taken in Olimpia.

OPINION.

Regarding what happened with 12 de Octubre, who broke the protocol to have a barbecue with the players of the team, Brunstein said that he is concerned about the free interpretation that is being made of the sanitary protocol and hopes that the people involved recognize the mistake so that it is not repeated.

"I am concerned about the free interpretation of the protocol. The protocol has clear rules and they are trying to distort it by downplaying certain actions. It would be better if they recognize the mistakes and understand so that they are not repeated. But if we start looking for conspiracy theories and strange things, we will not move forward. We have to learn because it will happen again," he concluded.
