Leicester City registers 10% of all cases in England
The city of Leicester registered 10% of all cases in England last week and, in response to this, non-essential businesses and schools have closed.
Premier League develops contingency plan
Faced with the danger that this may affect the development of the Premier League, the league has assured that it has a contingency plan for this and will evaluate postponing or playing the matches in a neutral field if necessary.
"If what is happening in Leicester is going to affect the club's ability to host their home matches, whether it be this Saturday's match against Crystal Palace or any other, then we will have to play those matches elsewhere or postpone them until we find a safe date to celebrate them," said Richard Masters, president of the Premier League.
Leicester will travel to Everton's field on Wednesday before hosting Crystal Palace on Saturday at King Power Stadium.
