Junior Alonso, in confinement after returning to the country from Argentina, spoke about the statements of Colombian former footballer Jorge Bermúdez, leader of Boca Juniors' football council, who announced the news that the defender will not continue in the xeneixe entity.
"It is a fact that I will not continue in Boca, they understood my position and the club treated me very well," Alonso began saying in a chat with FALG.
The 27-year-old defender explained that the decision was purely personal. "We didn't talk about the economic aspect. It is my decision," he said.
When asked what led him to make that decision when Boca wants him very much, Junior limited himself to answering as follows: "They are decisions, the club understood and respected it. I always kept my private life confidential."
He also spoke about the contractual aspect with Boca, his future, and reaffirmed that he will not return to Paraguayan football yet. "My contract with Boca ends on June 30. I don't have any offers and at the moment I wouldn't return to Paraguayan football. The plan is to continue abroad," he revealed.
Junior Alonso also explained that the supposed interest from Olimpia is totally false. "They speculate and you can ask the president of Olimpia. That interest is false," he declared.
About what this experience left him in one of the great clubs of South America, Junior valued what he lived. "It was very nice to be inside Boca. I'm happy to have enjoyed a title and the recognition of the people who are very passionate," he confessed.
Finally, he mentioned that for now he thinks about his family, reuniting with them, and then defining his future with the club that owns his pass, Lille from France. "I only think about being with my family, then we'll see where I keep playing," he concluded.
