The return of Georges St-Pierre to the UFC remains in doubt
This time, the fighter himself confessed that there is something that would prevent him from returning to the company. It is a sponsorship agreement he has with Reebok.
Georges St-Pierre's contract with Reebok was signed last year (when he was no longer in the UFC) and does not allow him to have other sponsors. 'Rush' must wear Reebok sports apparel and will earn profits according to his fight level and ranking position.
Gerges St-Pierre commented on the matter and made it clear that he is not sure if he will be able to return to the UFC because of his contract. "Look, I don't know the Reebok agreement very well, but I do know that my contract was different. It could potentially be stopped if the UFC wants to have me back," mentioned 'Rush'.
Reebok would be the obstacle for the UFC to have Georges St-Pierre, the former welterweight world champion, back in its ranks. However, if the contract is terminated, the Canadian could return to the octagon.
