The progress of football training in Spain continues to rise and after Barcelona completed its first week of work, it has made the next step: the return of group training.
After more than two months, the Barza squad was able to train together on Monday at the Sant Joan Despí Sports City, as the third phase of the coronavirus pandemic de-escalation began in the European country.
The first week of solo sessions was successful for Barcelona, following strict health safety measures, allowing them to move on to the phase of team training. They trained in groups of ten players and with scheduled times.
According to La Liga protocol, they were organized into groups of 10 players. The first group consisted of Lionel Messi, Gerard Piqué, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, Sergi Roberto, Arturo Vidal, Ansu Fati, Riqui Puig, and Ronaldo Araújo, while the second group included Nelson Semedo, Iván Rakitic, Arthur, Clement Lenglet, Antoine Griezmann, Martin Braithwaite, Frenkie De Jong, Junior Firpo, Alex Collado, and Monchu. Barcelona was able to perform their traditional training routines after a long time.
In addition, the players were able to use the locker rooms again as they were disinfected over the weekend.
