Victor Gonzalez, Divisional President, in conversation with Sueños de Primera (1080 AM), pointed out that if possible, the games could be played until next year.
"We will present proposals that will be taken into account by the Competitions Department, all depending on the deadlines. Let's assume that the Primera starts in May next year and then the Intermedia could go until February, all of that will be worked out", stated Gonzalez.
He then admitted that it is very likely that the format of 30 matchdays in two rounds will undergo changes: "The deadlines for a 30-match tournament are not easy, we could compress them into one round, and other options. If we have six months of competitions, we will schedule the 30 matchdays, otherwise, we will have to compress them".
Tomorrow, the Divisional will have a meeting with President Robert Harrison, where issues such as player salary payments and the request for extra assistance for clubs to implement biosecurity protocols will be addressed.
