Miralem Pjanic willing to leave Juventus and join Barcelona, according to Italian press

Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who plays for Juventus in Turin, has given his approval to leave the Turin team this summer and sign for Barcelona, according to the Italian press.

Pjanic, 30 years old and former Lyon and Roma player, has a contract with Juventus until 2023, but could be part of a swap deal involving either Brazilian Arthur Melo, Croatian Ivan Rakitic or Chilean Arturo Vidal, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Arthur and Pjanic have a similar market value, around 60 million euros, although the Brazilian midfielder has recently expressed his strong willingness to stay in the team of Spanish coach Quique Setién.

According to the Italian newspaper, Barcelona would propose a swap deal with Rakitic, whose profile does not convince the Turin sports management, or with Vidal, who is also not the main target for Juventus due to his age (he will turn 33 on May 22).

Pjanic joined Juventus in mid-2016 for 40 million euros and won four league titles in Turin, playing 166 games and scoring 22 goals. EFE
