Since April 20, football player Heung-Min Son, Tottenham player, has been part of the mandatory military service in South Korea during the suspension of the Premier League.
Initially, the player had a special permit from the Korean government to not complete the full service because he won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games; however, he still had to complete four weeks of mandatory service.
For this reason, he has been participating in training at an infantry camp on Jeju Island. This trip was scheduled to take place after the end of the English season; however, he took advantage of the break due to the coronavirus to complete it.
Regarding this, a photograph of the 27-year-old forward during one of the exercises with his compatriots was leaked on Wednesday. In the image, he can be recognized as the one wearing helmet number 136 while marching with a rifle on his right shoulder.
As a reminder, Tottenham commented on this when the player had to travel and clarified that once his military service is completed, he will return to London to join the team's training.
