Despite Cienciano's victory, Ayacucho FC's 2-0 win over León confirmed the relegation of both teams, as well as Sport Loreto.
Cienciano, who had played continuously in the top division since 1984, suffered a 6-point deduction due to debts, while León was penalized with another 4 points for the same reason.
